Back at it! New Adventures for the Mayberry's

Life can sometimes get away from us and we have trouble keeping up. That has happened to me the last few months. But I am making a new goal - to get caught up! I ask for forgiveness for not keeping up with this blog. I promise to post at least every two weeks the news of what is happening at the studio and in our other businesses.

Talking about other businesses, we are opening a couple next week: Graphic Solutions Alaska and Alaska Academy of Photography. For the past 20 years we have had some sort of printing business. The last three years we have collected equipment and are now ready to open a full service print shop! We will do quick digital printing, color copies, all printing services, large format printing and we have a professional quality high resolution photo lab! We are very excited to offer these services to everyone.

Many people have asked us if we would teacch photography classes. We have decided to take Chance's 25 years experieince along with my 20 years and offer classes from begining - how to use your camera, composition, etc. - to advanced in portraits, landscapes, weddings, and fine art. We will also teach classes on Photo Shop, Lightroom, plugins and more!

If you love the outdoors and photography, we will now be offering Photo Safaris! Watch Groupon in the next few weeks for our special!

We would like to invite you to our open house June 3 - June 11. We are located at 735 S Bailey Street downtown Palmer. We will have great deals, door prizes, food and demos. We will even be giving away free classes! "Like" Graphic Solutions Alaska on fb and you will be entered into our weekly drawings for our fans and will be able to get special deals on services!

We are still running our Mayberry Studio and would love to capture your precious moments of life. Give us a call and book your outdoor sessions now before they all book up!

Happy Spring! I hope to see you all soon!

2011 Senior Reps

We are already gearing up for the 2011 Senior sessions. We have been signing up Juniors from schools in Anchorage and the Valley. We have had a lot of response to our call for models. It has been great. We are meeting with several tomorrow - Anne Marie, Katie, Brandi, Lora - and with Chantel on Saturday. We are excited to shoot their sessions along with the others who have signed. Thanks everyone for making our jobs so easy!

A New Year - A New Resolution

So, I guess I did not do a wonderful job blogging last year. Time just goes by so fast and I get caught up in life. But, this year I have made a goal to change things and take more time to blog about our studio, our clients! We love our clients and want them to know how much we appreciate them! I hope that they know it!

This weekend we attended the Alaska Bride Magazine Wedding Fair. It was packed with blushing brides and their grooms, bridesmaids, best friends, moms, and wedding planners. I met so many great people and look forward to taking their weddings! We will start having consultations with some of the Brides this next week. I love weddings because they are so beautiful, there is so much emotion and I get to preserve those precious memories!

Upcoming: We are now looking for 2011 Ambassadors for all Anchorage and Valley Schools. There are some great benefits and it is so much fun! If you know anyone who would love to do this, please let us know!

Well, off to work I go! :)

OK - I am now going to get serious about blogging!

I know I haven't been posting much, but I am now ready to get serious! So here are some images from a session we did Saturday of a cute family! They were such a great family to work with - they were naturals. You could just feel the emotion as they reacted with each other.

Here's what mom said:

"We are so excited to see the pictures. We really enjoyed ourselves too. When I saw a couple of the pics of Dan and me, even on his tiny screen (back of camera), I just realized in a whole new way how much he loves me. It was amazing. I glowed the whole way home."

Then she emailed again:

"You should check my Facebook page and album. My friends are FLOORED by the pictures."

The above family image was so much fun! The little boy was so excited to catch the bubbles. Mom and Dad (aka Emily and Daniel) took the opportunity to cherish a moment together.

This one is one of my favorites. I could see how much Emily cared for her son. And he was content to just be with mom.

Daniel and his son were great. They just played with each other and had a lot of fun!

The photos of Emily and Daniel is priceless. This is what she was talking about in her email. They just shared so much love!

These are just some fun shots we did! Hope you enjoy them! Keep checking in for more!
